Last year’s festival was the most successful to date and saw visitor numbers of over 30,000 across two days. All stall booking will therefore be for the two days. With regret we won’t be able to take single day bookings. We have also made some big changes to the layout of the event which will hopefully make the festival better for both stallholders and visitors.

The unpredictable April weather and exposed nature of the port has caused last minute changes to the layout over the past two years. So our major changes for 2017 are:

  • Return of the ‘Lime Kiln’ Stage, and additional Harbour Head Busker stage
  • Full ‘Fringe’ festival’ on Moors Playing field with bridge access from ‘The Shipyard’
  • Operating hours for trading are 10am – 5pm Saturday & Sunday (except street food traders in Shipyard areas)
  • A spread of musical and performance entertainment across all areas over two days (rather than specific static stages) to improve footfall in all areas.
  • Fringe activities located in ‘The Moors Playing Field’ Increased focus on the ‘Food’ programming element of the festival Improved electrical distribution to all areas and 24hr security
  • The stalls around the harbour will stop outside the Salt Cellar (at the start of the bridge) and will not run further down towards the clock tower.

Please read carefully before you book. To make booking easier please refer to the map attached to see the different zones and please book according to the nature of your business. Stalls will be allocated on a ‘First Come, First Served’ basis for both previous and new exhibitors. Due to high demand spaces are offered to Cornwall producers as priority. We retain the right to maintain a fair balance of participation. Please do state on the form below your second choice place to ensure you don’t miss out if your first choice had sold out. In the circumstance that both your chosen areas have sold out we will contact you to offer you any other available spaces.

All first offers of places will be required to make a 25% deposit within 7 days of offer.

Insurance:

  • All companies must provide a copy of their Public Liabilities insurance certificate. Please return this to us before the Festival – preferably with your booking form. Food Producers must provide a copy of their food hygiene certificate or rating. Please read the Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & outdoor catering checklist forms.
  • Producers who require electric will need to send in their event power requirements by 01/03/2017.
  • A Food Hygiene inspector will be present on the day to ensure exhibitors comply with Food Hygiene regulations. Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own hand wash facilities and if required chilled cabinets, hobs, freezers, cleaning products and kitchenware. Exhibitors must take their own rubbish home with them at the end of trading.

Important Information:

  • Porthleven is extremely exposed to the elements. All stalls apart from The Harbour Head Market, are outdoor and spaces only. You will need to bring your own strong wet and windy weather cover, which can be firmly fastened down. e.g. – gazebo with weights and ropes. In case of extremely poor weather we will do our best to accommodate you in other areas but if you are unable to set up we unfortunately will not be able to offer you a refund. You must strictly not exceed your booked space. Stewards will not permit extra space, under any circumstances. Extra space can be purchased if you are an over sized stall or vehicle.   • You need to make sure that the booking form is submitted by the end of January 2017. You will be notified if you are successful and required to pay for your stall by the end of February. You are booking for the Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd April. (Two Days)
  • Stallholders start trade from 10am until event close and may set up from 7am onward. 24 hour security will be provided overnight on Saturday 7pm-7am in all zones Your Final Pack including full detailed set up information including your stall number should reach you approx. two weeks before the Festival. Sorry there is no free parking provided for Stallholders, you will be required after unloading to park in a pay car park.
