Frances Pylons is the musical project of multidisciplinary artist C F Sherratt. Blending elements of psych and traditional folk music with a DIY/experimental ethic, the songs are comprised of swirling fingerstyle guitar surrounding a brooding avant-garde vocal. The project’s first EP ‘A Ladle of Mist’ is a mixture of traditional and original songs exploring sleeplessness, keening and defiance. For fans of The Incredible String Band, Joanna Newsom, Richard Dawson, John Renbourn and Tom Waits.
