Please find details below regarding parking and road closures at the 2023 Porthleven Food Festival

Since 2019 we have removed the ‘residents parking passes’ and installed an improved traffic management plan that was well proven at the last festival in 2022.

Road closures will be in place along the Harbour Head during Saturday and Sunday. Additional traffic control measures will be in place around the village and on approaches. The important thing to remember for businesses, staff and residents is that you will be access your property and workspace as per usual, it is useful to carry some evidence to help our staff identify local residents and workers. The traffic control measures are in place are to prevent problems with visitors parking in residential and event areas.

Visitors – please use the event car parks and do not park in residential areas and back roads. This will allow the event to operate smoothly. By utilising event carparks you support the community groups that run them. Car parks will be provided at Porthleven Football Club, Cricket Club and Porthleven Camping on Tolponds Road. Please note, Methleigh Farm is NOT a carpark in 2023.

Residents please note that Kittos Field and Withy Field Carparks will also be closed to the general public. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this, we ask that you use our event carparks for the duration of the festival.

Park and Ride services will operate from Penrose Carpark in Helston. Penrose Carpark is free and the shuttle service costs £2 each way. You can always walk in to the event from Helston through Penrose using the new foot path section which is an enjoyable walk.

Please be polite to the event staff and let them know if you have concerns. They will be happy to provide advice and support to allow us all to enjoy the festival.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
