Food for Thought: Our 2022 Theme

We’ve all had quite a tricky few years and the world can seem overwhelming at times.

Take a little time out from the hustle and bustle of the Festival to look after your mental health with mindfulness and confidence workshops created by our charity partners Sea Sanctuary.

Food for the mind – and for the soul.

Meet the Sea Sanctuary team in their marquee in the Moors Field just over the bridge from the Shipyard to learn more about the range of mental health and wellbeing services the team have on offer. And take part in their circle of gratitude by leaving a message about something you’re grateful for.

Workshops in the Ann's Pasty Lounge

10am – Meet a mermaid
For: Children and families
Hosted by: The Sea Sanctuary Team

Join the Sea Sanctuary team for a morning of magic as we come together and write down our wishes and what we’re grateful for (things that we really like or love in life) and decorate our own special seashells as a  gift to the mermaids!

The mermaids will collect your shells, and swim them out to sea, where they will be displayed in a magical cave for all the sea creatures and merpeople to look at. Who knows, maybe this special gift will help them be happier and see how magical life can be…..
